{"id":65,"date":"2018-12-31T12:40:01","date_gmt":"2018-12-31T11:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/waveneytaxis.co.uk\/latest-news\/?p=65"},"modified":"2018-12-31T14:36:53","modified_gmt":"2018-12-31T13:36:53","slug":"new-years-eve-warning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/waveneytaxis.co.uk\/latest-news\/new-years-eve-warning\/","title":{"rendered":"New Year\u2019s Eve warning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/news\/8089330\/new-years-eve-fake-taxi-drivers\/#comments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sun newspaper<\/a> published a warning over fake Taxi drivers putting passengers at risk with illegal and uninsured journeys on New Year\u2019s Eve.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What to check from your Taxi and Taxi Driver on New Year\u2019s Eve?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> The Taxi vehicle should have; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An external plate on the rear- (usually next to the number plate, but sometimes on the bumper<\/li><li> An internal plate on the windscreen inside the vehicle.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Some taxis known as hackney carriage will have a taxi sign on the top, (when the taxi sign light is on, it means they are available for you) (When the taxi sign is off it means they already have a pre-booked journey or passengers on board).<\/li><li>Some taxis are private hire vehicles only and do not have a taxi sign on the top, these vehicles must be pre-booked only.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Taxi driver should have,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A lanyard with a badge to show they are a registered taxi driver with the council.
